The largest public hospital district in Texas is comprised of three hospitals and 12 community health centers, 3 specialty centers, and 8 school-based clinics. The main hospital, a 650 licensed bed facility located in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, is a Level I trauma center and one of the busiest trauma centers in the US. It is also a teaching hospital for a college of medicine.

Treatment System Installation:
Almost 10 years following the hospital district's purchase of the mobile medical waste treatment system from Micro-Waste^®, the hospital district Board of Managers approved purchase and installation of a new stationary treatment system to be manufactured by Micro-Waste^®. Following completion of construction of associated dock area modifications, Micro-Waste^® performed start-up and testing operations allowing treatment of the regulated medical waste (RMW) for all of the facilities in one location.
