The veterans hospital is a 169 bed facility that provides primary, secondary, and tertiary care to eligible US veterans residing in portions of Oklahoma and Texas, as well as providing specialty support to patients in the surrounding states. The hospital is located in a renowned medical center, and is a teaching facility affiliated with a University medical school and the along with programs in nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and similar healthcare-related areas.

Treatment System Installation:
To replace an aging incinerator, Micro-Waste^®sold to the hospital system an ABB Sanitec, Inc. Microwave Disinfection Unit (MDU), Model HG-A-100S, in 1995. The hospital removed the incinerator and reconfigured the dock area based upon recommendations by Micro-Waste^®. Following installation of the treatment system, the hospital built a structure around the system providing the operators an air conditioned and heated work environment, leaving only the waste discharge screw exposed. The system has been used continuously for over 20 years.
